‘Empreinte’ is made of vines aged over 60 years old. The vineyard is cultivated according to Organic agriculture and biodynamic methods. Soil is marls from Saint Doulchard on lower ‘Kimméridgien’. Aging period takes place in an oak barrel for about twelve months. Around 3000 bottles of Empreinte are produced. Younger robe (garnet), and much denser. The nose is on hint of almost candied fruits, spices (barrel), and undergrowth (fern). Full and pulpy mouth, with velvety tannins and a great general balance. Strong and chewy finish.
