Vougeot Premier Cru "Les Petits Vougeots" AOC is a luxurious, rich, full-bodied wine. Vineyard "Le Petit Vougeot" is located on rocky limestone soil and has a southeastern exposure. The hand-picked bunches are carefully sorted in the vineyard. Full malolactic fermentation on fine lees, the wort takes place in French oak barrels for 2-6 months, depending on the quality of the crop. The aging is carried out for 15-18 months also in French oak barrels. The wine has excellent storage potential, which is 20-25 years. The wine has a deep purple-violet color. The complex aroma of the wine is dominated by shades of juicy berries, complemented by pleasant accents of refined spices and truffles. Undergrowth, toasted almonds and coffee beans appear with age. The wine has a full, generous, powerful taste with notes of ripe cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red and black currant, nuances of sweet spices, violet and rose flowers, with balanced acidity and a long, juicy finish with hints of oak wood and licorice.
